Hi all

I'm planning on cleaning my interior this weekend as I haven't done it for a while.

Does anyone have any recommendations what to use on the leather dash? I don't want to turn it all shiny so any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

I just done mine today. Cleaned with autoglym leather cleaner then feed with there Leather care cream. Done the whole interior.

Was very surprised that the rear parcel shelf and tops of the rear seat covered in black dust that I never noticed before. Must be from having the windows open.

Gliptone from LiquidLeather has a very good reputation, I have some but have never used it due to laziness.

I think the dash is rarely real leather. I just use autoglym interior cleaner on dash and leather products on seats.

White vinager and hair spray for stubborn stains ..... Sounds wrong but I asked the same question on the web, it was answered through a site called cleaning USA (I think that's what it was called) I tried it on a back seat and it worked wonders! ... No I'm not kidding! Be careful though as suggested not all Cerbs had full leather so not sure how some may react. Be sure to wipe the hairspray off immediately!

Hmm.. I'd say my dash was real leather. Want to check now.

I use Gliptone cleaner and cream on any leather I have had. Mine needs doing tbh.

For smalls scuffs and marks - Ronsonol (lighter fluid), it's a marvel. Also good for removing sticker residue.
Apply to cloth first, bear in mind it evaporates fast so be quick.
Apply normal leather conditioner afterwards.

I think one of the most important things to use regardless of what product you use is a nail brush. It gets right into the grain of the leather and lifts the dirt right out.

Am pretty sure that the standard spec for a cerb was partial leather ie just seat base etc, full leather was an option but even then it wasn't always actually full leather...? IMHO

I find the best cleaner for dash and trim is Tesco green baby wipes. They remove glue residue and alsorts.

Cheap as well smile

For the leather gliptone or for stuborn bits Dr Power cleaner which makes them like new but is abraisive

Funny enough I find I have to clean the inside of the windscreen very regularly on the Cerb as it seems to get really filthy, then when its sunny its a bugger to see out of! I've never had this with any other car, I assume its something to do with the heat in the cabin, windows open or something weird along those lines.

Use magic eraser to get it spotlessly clean then use autoglym leather conditioner. Amazing!

I think it's summat to do with the 'living interior design' which essentially means that every chemical that exists in the engine compartment isb blown and eventually baked, via the heating/ventilation system, directly onto the windscreen interior.

I use boiling water with some white vinegar. Crystal clear & no misting at all.
