350z is rubbishAnyone help?
boxster - be careful which one but 10k will get you into the 911 club so why even consider a boxster?
how about
Maserati 3200gt
TVR Chimera or Griffith (might just squeeze a 5.0 for about 10k if lucky)
Lotus Esprit Turbo
Alfa GTV V6 spider
Corvette C3/C4
might be really lucky and find a ferrari mondial that needs some fettling
Ginetta
Lotus Elise/ Elan
possibly a Marcos
possibly an MG RV8
jaguar XKR
renault clio v6
vauxhall Monaro / Vx220

Love the fact someone states the 350z is rubbish and then goes on to list a load of cars that are arguably at least 10x as rubbish as a 350z. Only on PH.
Boxters are for girls, go for the 350z.
having driven a 350Z (looked at buying one when out new) and owned alot of the above - I speak from experience. The 350Z is overweight and underpowered, its american designed and goes like a walmartian. A skyline would be better but it doesnt fit the criteria.Boxters are for girls, go for the 350z.
I understand some people like the 350z but lets face it- put alot of people with special needs in a room and there is bound to be some hugging.
I have not owned a Griff but have driven one albeit not a 5.0, wouldnt personally be seen dead in a mondial. Have been a passenger in a Marcos and a Ginetta. havent been in an Elise but there is no doubting the pedigree.
I've had both - 987 Boxster S and 297 350z.
Cost is a factor in how I remember the cars, my boxster cost double what I paid for the 350z and at that cost differential then the 350z has an awful lot going for it. The driving experience is quite raw and I liked it. Personally I thought performance in the Z was acceptable. Maintenance in the 350z will also be cheaper.
The Boxster is a great car and much quicker point to point. Interior and quality in a different league but that's to be expected. Mine lacked a bit of character but i think a sports exhaust would have helped in that department.
Back to the original question at a like for like price point, Boxster all day long.
