Buy a VW UP instead as the shell is fully seam welded. MUCH safer car... That's what the salesman at the VW dealer told me today...

The absolute worst car salesman I have come across in years...

Obviously he was selling the works prepared rally version!

I hate car showrooms - you have to be dressed for a job interview to be taken seriously. If I treated my customers in the judgemental fashion of most of these 'salesmen' I'd have no business.

I'd say a pretty average sounding Salesman TBF.

A kind VW salesman once warned me of buying a Skoda. He told me that the engines Skoda use had been rejected by VW as they were not up to standard.

Thank fully after that I chose an Octavia over the Golf biggrin

If less car salesmen were pricks then car salesmen wouldn't get painted as pricks.

Many supercars and sports cars are glued together.

Does that make the VW Up even safer than them?!

Yes. Look at Enzo's when they crash, the whole arse end falls off them! How safe is that!?

Imagine if that happened with the UP or Citigo, your children would undoubtedly be killed to death in a huge explosion of destruction and blood. And you'd hold up traffic ffs!

Up there with the 107/C1/Aygo lies, like the Toyota salesman that pointed out the Toyota logo on the exhaust manifold heat shield and said only the Aygo has that, it doesnt they are all mechanically identical, knob lost a sale with that bullst. Other people have been told that the Aygo is made of thicker steel ffs.
