Will white spirit destroy a heated rear window?
Discussion
Hi everyone,
Today I want to get round to removing an old car dealer's sticker from my back window, it is made of individual vinyl letters stuck to the inside of the glass. Normally I'd shave them off with a flat razor blade then remove the residue with white spirit, however because the sticker covers several of the rear window elements I'm not sure what to do. I guess I'll have to pick them off manually, however am I safe to use white spirit on the residue or will it attack the elements?

I dont have a heat gun, but would a hairdryer work?
It could do. I should add i have no real experiance with my method, but it was my first thought.Im pretty certain i've destroyed rear windows in the past though by using chemicals. Iirc, the elements are really fragile too, so even any hard rubbing can break them. It depends on the car i guess.
