Throttle Return Springs..

On advice here I removed one of my return springs.......................Holy beejus I have a new vehicle that responds to mind control when "making progress" , caught me out twice coming out of roundabouts with the speed of response to throttle input but is so much better to drive now I have come to terms with it. Give it a go but be warned it will surprise you at first.

I posted the original suggestion after Alex suggested I remove one of mine. For me, it just feels like a car should. Am very pleased with it. Both on the road and the track. Thanks Alex!

I only removed one of them to see if it would sort my rattle/vibration problem. It didn't but by heck the car feels a whole load better

Many dealers took one off when Griffs/Chims were delivered new, I'm surprised there are so many out there still with two springs after all this time.

Took me 8 years to get round to removing one. As you say, it transforms the car. I just wish I'd done it years earlier

There should be two there, just take the most rusty one off

Ahh been to have a look , mine only got one on, prev owner must have removed a spring thought it was a bit lively!!

So, if/when the remaing spring fails at WFO, you're going to trust the remaing weedy snail spring around the spindle to overcome the passing airstream to close the throttle plate? All the best with that...
