Been a while since any update, been trying to balance TVR mods with Porsche and house extension.

Glad to say all 3 are looking good thanks mostly to out sourcing the building work to "F1 5ERB" allowing me to concentrate on the Porsche.

Porsche had to take priority, doubt you'll want to see pictures of my bathrooms smile

Anyway TVR has been a joy to own and work on, I fried the original clutch end of 2010. Motor had to come out so in went a LS7 clutch and as you do.... a mild blower cam just to keep intake temps down, obviously wink

All went back together fine, mapped it and drove it around for 2011, never really getting to play with it too much due to the other projects.

By winter 2011 I had another list of updates including a higher diff ratio and playing with the exhaust silencers.

It now runs a 3.23 ratio, twin silencers under the prop shaft and twin silencers under the boot. Sound is now perfect, helped by the lower revs its acceptable on cruise and immense on full throttle.

For over a year there's been a smaller supercharger pulley (12psi) sitting in my garage, I was given it by a tuner friend who said "just fit it and map it...you know what to do!!"

So I finally got round to fitting it last month and playing with the map. The boost pressure had dropped about 2psi from fitting the cam down to 4psi but it felt free'r at the top end. Fitting the smaller pulley gave around 10psi, the increase in torque was like night and day.

Had a few issues with belt slip but easily sorted so finally made it to SRR this Wednesday evening for a verdict.

Sounded awesome on the dyno, most powerful TVR ever run. thats 600ftlb!! Not bad for a junk yard 5.7 and bolt on mods wink

Really pleased with the results, drives superb, best behaviour around town, nice solid emmision friendly idle no shunting and a huge tidal wave of torque available from under 2000rpm up to a Redline of 6500rpm. traction doesn't seem to be a problem as long as I'm sensible, I run Toyo R1-R's which seem more than capable of handling the power once warm.

So what am I doing this winter.....

Got myself a Mk2 interior to fit that matches the Tuscan front seats (cream) current interior is magnolia, also got a set of later instruments, didn't realise I loose the shift light though frown Found some carbon fibre with a red cotton weave so will be making up new engine covers, in the pics its 3M wrap just to see if it looked ok. Oh and must stop myself thinking about smaller supercharger pulley's.

Cheers,

Rich.
