Run-in complete

Picked up my GT86 last Saturday and spent the week getting it run/broken in.
A few snaps along the way...

Arrival in the Principality.

A road.

Car on the road.

Cotswolds run, at Tortworth Court (BTaP Venue)

On the way to the seaside.

At the seaside - Woolacombe.

Job jobbed.

Tired and shagged out after a long day/week.

So what are you impressions after the first 1000 miles ?
It's really rather good. The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains were ideal roads for it, as was Dartmoor and Exmoor. The windy, twisty nature of the roads with few steep inclines meant it felt alive and was great fun, even on the first day limiting myself to 4,000 revs.
TBH, the Fosse Way and the surrounding Cotswolds not so well suited. I've taken my TVR Griffith and the 350Z on some great runs up there but the roads are straight with some decent hills; the extra grunt from the Griff and Zed made it effortless. The 86, not so much.
So... like most things - it has it's strong points on the twisties where it can be flung about and it's not so strong points like out-and-out drag races and long steep hills.
Overall, I think for my style of driving and preferred routes it's excellent.

I do love these.. Even more so after seeing Fredric Aasbos one at Silverstone.
They should come standard with this livery on them, looks so good.
Screw the livery, they should come with the 2JZ as standard like Fred's car. /contraversial They should come standard with this livery on them, looks so good.

Not bad MPG Grover, I guess it'll get better as the engine loosens up a bit.
