Should I rent my inspection pit out ?
Discussion
My old man has an inspection pit in his garage, built it himself about 35 years ago. It's about 8 foot long and a proper 6 foot deep. Really useful if I want to do something to the motor. It got me thinking, that there :
- Can't be many people with one at home
- More people are keeping older vars and are skint, so they're trying to fix them, themselves
- Which may mean he could rent it out for an hourly rate
Do you think it would interest people ? Car types of course....we went to a show the other day and speaking to a few from car clubs they were saying ' give it a go' what do you reckon ?

How can they be lethal, you get down it, work on the car and get back out ? Is the world is full of f*ckwits that can't get down a ladder and back up without falling off ? I guess the answer may be yes...but would they not be the type to take the car to the main dealer and get fleeced, or maybe buy a vauxhall or something ?

dangerous things pits if you don't know the risks and the precautions you should take.WindsorRob said:

Plenty of people have died in pits. Imagine a fire starting while you are down there, extremely high risk situation. To rent it out you would almost certainly need insurance to cover the potential mishaps.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
