I've been thinking about getting a little runaround as most of my driving is in London, I'm presently using the 4200CC as a daily driver and I'm not really doing it any favours, using it for multiple short journeys and having it stuck in traffic all day long.

I've run a couple of threads recently and thanks to the recommendations given in them I've checked out several cars. Including the Renault Twingo, VW Up, Seat Mii and others.

I've finally decided to settle on a Fiat 500 TA dualogic. I've driven a 500 Twin Air. But, not yet one fitted with the dualogic gearbox. I'm booked in for a test drive of one of those next week.

I thought to enquire whether anyone on here has one of these cars as described? Any thoughts on them, plusses and minusses, that sort of thing.

Thanks.

I've driven a TA Dualogic. I think the TA is suited to the Dualogic very well possibly better than the manual, also I think the TA suits the Dualogic better than the other engine variants Fiat other this transmission in.

Make sure you take a good long test drive, this transmission is very clever, it actually 'learns' your driving style over time and reacts accordingly. I've known people drive one for a short distance and come back confused and disappointed about the way the car performs, however i found it gets better the more miles you do.

I like dualogic and think it's great around town, get one with the paddles! smile

Thanks so much for that, Alfahorn. I really appreciate your views. I will do as you suggest with a longer drive. The paddles don't come as standard? Good to know.
