Anyone drive a C1?

I'm after a cheap to run, run-around. I test drove a C1 today and it seemed OK, spec was pretty good, nippy enough for what I need it for.
Those of you with one, are there any niggles which have come to light after a small period of ownership?

When i first passed my test i drove my mums 107, same car really. Only problem she has was airbag light kept comming on...... Only when i drove it though I'm after a cheap to run, run-around. I test drove a C1 today and it seemed OK, spec was pretty good, nippy enough for what I need it for.

Had one for 2 weeks in Crete last year. Was great on all the tight roads, performed well enough and hardly used any fuel. It was newish so how it'll last I don't know, but I'd hire one again.
Cheers, I'd be getting a new one and likely keeping it for ~2yrs. So hopefully reliability shouldn't be an issue!They are around at 4-5K for a decent enough low mileage model - I almost bought a 1.1 /1.0? a few months ago but ended up going for a 1.4HDI C2 instead - there is more car around you and better torque as it's the HDI so it was noticably nicer to drive - not to mention the extra equipment and better looks (IMO) so for the same price and running costs it was a no brainer, although it totally depends on your own preference

k are they?Our eldest is learnign in November so I bought one for that event and my wife and I love the little thing, I dotn want to use my 944 to go to the shops and the Galaxy is too big, plus short journeys arent good for either, not bothered about the little 3 cyl Citroen, another engine is 300 off Ebay, very very simple, just changed the oil on it, amazing under there, like a moderately complex technic lego.
We paid six grand for a 5 door VTR plus in blue, was just over a year old, bought it privately, the lady who had it was having health issues so they were selling, had only done 4k so was a bargain I think, like new,
Its nippy enough as you say, comfy for short journies, wouldnt want to do 200 miles stints in it but it would do it, not fantastic on the motorway but then it is only tiny. Great on fuel, no matter what you do it does 45 mpg plus, ours has aircon which is very effective, they are fairly spacious for 4 people, even our three large teenage boys fit in comfortably.
I beleive the Up ! is better but they are a lot more expensive, and less powerful for the cheaper model, they soon get expensive.
The engine has a nice rasp to it, especially when cold, I think they look ok for a tiny car, not embarassing like some. I recommend them, I nearly ended up with one as my car though, i.e. my only car, hence me digging my hells in and getting the 944, TVR next, a petrolhead needs a PH car but not all the time, small city cars are more palatable when you have an alternative.

Quick Q... is your drivers seat height adjustable?
My wife bought one new in 2008, kept it for 3 years and put almost 40000 miles on it. Didn't miss a beat and for what it was I thought it was a fairly good to drive, you could certainly have a giggle in it. Exhaust note was fairly rorty too - sounded better than a lot of 4-pots! Only needed a pair of tyres and front discs/pads in that time (as well as the normal servicing).
We paid around £8k for the Rhythm model and sold it for about £5k IIRC earlier this year. Not necessarily the cheapest way of getting 3 years motoring, but probably one of the best ways of doing it hassle free! I'd recommend the 5 door model though - you'll use the back seats a lot as the boot is tiny, and the front seats on a 3 door (on the original model at least) were a PITA to move.
