My girlfriend's son is looking at buying a car, question is can she insure him on her insurance with her having her own car and obv she is the main driver on that, so can she also be the main driver on another at the same time, or do they frown upon that and if he has a bump what happens ?

If the son is driving the car the most but the main driver in the insurance is his mother, it will be an offence called "fronting".

He will have to find someone to insure him on his own policy.

EFA = "Edited for Accuracy".

I think what the chap is suggesting is that there would only be an issue with fronting if the young lad had an accident.

In some regards, this is true. But, if cheeky chappy drives into a Lambo or seriously injures an innocent party and they determine that his insurance is not valid because he was fronting, there could be some serious consequences.

Tell him to get his own insurance policy, or dont drive IMO.
