Whats cool and whats not?

Flicking through my EVO collection yesterday, I stumbled on issue 6 where they did a feature on "whats cool" and "whats not". Fast forward 13 years to 2012 and I suspect many of the choices havent changed, so, what is Cool just now and what isnt...also what cars were cool once and arent now and what cars will never be cool?
For the cool category, Id nominate stuff like the Dolly Sprint, Lotus Sunbeam, Clio williams and Escort RS2000, amongst others...for me, Ferrari 308 is cool again now and Audi ur Quattro is very cool, but few of the current range are IMO!

I think your musings are fairly good. BMW is very hit-and-miss in my opinion.
E39 = cool.
E46 is a great car, but not so much cool.
'90s Jags are right up there for the 'old man surprise' factor.
'90s Range Rovers? It depends on the owner. A skinhead in a 2.5 DT with stupid wheels, a grille with holes drilled in it and big exhausts isn't really cool.
But a slightly ratty 4.6 HSE driven by the right person is.
Again, these are only my opinions.
