As many of you on here the vette is quick, but in my eyes doesnt quite hang with the Big Boys. So i've been looking at things to boost power, and have been looking at these Superchargers.
Westcoast Corvette and Ligenfelter, are both offering kits Claiming around 480-490bhp.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are, waste of money? Too expensive? Reliability? Is their a better option?
Is anything like this available in the UK? As once you've added VAT and Import Tax to it, it becomes expensive from the US.

The Magnussen supercharger issupposedly the easiest to fit and the most reliable according to the guys on the Corvette Forum. Only problem with it is you will need to fit a new bonnet to get it under!
I went for the Turbo Technologies Twin Turbo kit.
Hmm can you provide more details for me :P
I know of a couple of guys who have recently started using Vortec blowers. Admittedly not on Vettes (one is a GTO and the other BBC powered pro-street Jag) but Vortec do seem to be very helpful and customer friendly. When I enquired about a kit for my '68 they sent me loads of useful info.

Id take a look through some of the various forums. Generally speaking, the actual superchargers themselves are ok, regardless of make, but the kits can vary. Belt slippage, and bracket design seem to be a big thing, especially at higher boost levels.. ( hint as to buying spare belts also )
There are a few new tensioner designs that seem to help though.
