It's quite a rare thing for Mrs spudgun to change her car. She is a sentimental soul and gets attached to things so a new car for her is quite a big deal.
We first off thought about getting a fortwo for her, a cabriolet one, but ended a little underwhelmed by it. So the next model in the firing line was a roadie. Unusually we did the right thing and look at as many as possible. One kind dealer got so fed up with me inspecting the one he had for sale that he took the keys away and locked the car up and walked away. Thanks for that, we will think about.
Sods law the best one we saw was the last one but nearest to home. A bit on the dear side but with out fault which we couldn't say that about any of the others we saw.
Actually I tell a lie. There was something we had to sort out. For whatever reason the front wheels were perfect but the rear wheels had corroded badly event though nether had any curbing. So out came the rattle-can and a few hours later we had kind of sorted it out. They look better than they did anyway.
Driving the Roadster is a lot more fun than I expected. I was expecting a slow, dull thing with style over substance but its not like that at all. The steering could do with a bit more feel but the gearbox, which comes in for a lot of scorn, is pretty good once you get used to it. Its pretty torquey as well which was a real surprise given its only got 700cc to work with. Its not quite the same tool as the MR2 but not light years away.

lol, yeah it does seem like it. She really does like driving with the roof down regardless of the temperature. I have been out with her with frost on the ground, with the roof down, in the middle of January.She can get proper grouchy if the sun is out and all she has is a hardtop to drive. Grouchier than normal.
