Don't worry, I'm not fitting a beancan and VTA dump valve, I'm getting rid of them instead!

I bought a P1 last week which has the following mods:

AFP hybrid turbo
Front mounted intercooler
3.5" system from manifold back (and a 6" tailpipe - eurghh)
VTA dump valve - eurghh
Remapped and dynoed a few years ago at 352bhp and 317ft/lb

I want to ditch the dump valve and have bought a forge recirculating replacement. I also want to replace the current tiny back box and ridiculous tailpipe with a larger silencer and 3.5" tip to make it look closer to standard.

Would it be wise to have it mapped and dynoed again?

Cheers,
Lefty

Yes, changing the dump valve to the recirc valve might mean you need to...

Won't need a full map, just a check/tweak to check all is as it should, and to note the more restrictive exhaust.

What ECU is on it?

Depends if its running a MAF or using calculated air flow, as VTA/Recirc may need to be readjusted to prevent running lean.

As far as I know it's the oem ecu... It certainly still has a MAF sensor.

Cheers for the replies chaps.

I was thinking that changing the backbox and exhaust tip hopefully wouldn't make much difference power-wise, just quieten it down a little and look a bit better!
