What could cause fatty food intolerance?
Discussion
For the past 2 years I have been very sensitive to eating fatty foods.
It took me a while to work out what the intolerance was.
But if I eat anything that is fatty/fried I get it.
Does anyone also suffer from this and what could cause it?
I just stop eating fatty food, but it's inevitable if eating out that whatever I order will be cooked in butter, or have more fat content than what I would usually make for myself at home.

Is it natural fats or the factory made ones that effect you? When you say intolerant, do you feel bloated or have the trots? It could be the other evil chemicals they put in the mass produced meals, MSG etc that is doing it. Your body needs natural fats for the central nervous system and cells, it's a very important part of your diet. It's just unfortunate that vegetable oils, hydrogen saturated oils etc are used in most foods instead of olive oils, coconut oil and butter. Try replacing all the processed foods and takeaways with natural foods and the above oils and see how your body responds
Its all kinds of fats and definitly includes natural fats.
I dont feel bloated at all, I will just have cronic trots about 15 -30 minutes after eating it. (to the point that I often have to run home)
I will get this with nice homecooked roast dinners done by my parents using olive oil and duck fats, and I will get it with the local restaurants whether it be a nice steak with a butter sauce, or with a nice peice of fish cooked in butter.
I will also get it with Macdonalds, and more recently a dirty fry up at the local cafe.
It seems that the only time I don't get it is if I cook for myself (as I don't use fats or oils much at all), or if I eat at Nandos!

Ok, how old are you? Have you spoken to your GP? I'm no professional, but I would seek advice and ask to be tested for Chrones and other gastro illness
26 years old. Always just assumed it was some kind of IBS and that I should just avoid fatty foods.
However, having had friends witness (not literally) the extent of the problem this weekend, I think maybe a visit to my GP is in order.
