i seem to be getting a binding feeling through my steering when moving at low speed.
its only occasional at the moment and is accompanied with a strange noise sometimes.
the noise is exactly the same as my vauxhall cavalier used to make 10 years ago. GM connection maybe?
what do you think?
mike.

Sticking column UJ's sometimes do this. Or maybe the UJ is catching on the chassis? Happened to me....

no doubt it will be your uj`s, if you are confident enough to take them off you can give them a good clean and greese them, although there is a set pattern for them to go back on to give the car it`s steering characteristices. Or leave them on the car and spay buckets of wd40 on them and keep moving the steering wheel (better with 2 people, one spraying one moving nthe wheel), once you have them moving freely again give them plenty of greese, always a good thing to do this regularly.

hope this helps

I have exactly the same problem.. its either from a inner tie rod end thats binding or an outer tie rod end thats worn. You can pull the boots off the rack to expose the inner joint, spray clean with wd-40 and repack them with a generous amount of non-silicone based bearing grease. You may want to replace the boots while you're down there.. something like $30 a pair from lotus.
