I currently have a Westfield, which I have owned for 10 years, and am thinking of a possible change. Really fancy a Z3M Coupe, but don't know too much about them, so have a few questions, sure this has been covered before but the search isn't working at the moment.

So, I think I want something a bit more refined than my Westie, but something still fun to drive, don't suppose anyone else has gone from a 7 type car to a Z3MC? I assume they are a good drive?

If I do get one, it would be at the cheaper end of the market, I would most probably be able to afford £10-12k, is this just asking for trouble and big bills?

Are these expensive to run? What sort of costs do you pay on servicing, repairs and insurance?

Any advice or links to previous answers would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Adam

Did exactly the same as you earlier in the year.
Went from an R400 that was mostly used on track, to an Z3M Coupe that is probably half road use and half track.

Like you, I wanted something a bit more useable on the road, but still fun and a bit different. Really enjoying it - goes very well, is fun to drive and every drive is an event (although not in the same way as a CaterField..)

As suggested, have a look at the MCoupe website, also make sure you try one before you buy.
Lots of owners on there who'll help.

Thanks, I will have a browse over on the Z3MCoupe site.

Matt, I assume you haven't had yours for too long yet, but how have the running costs been, if you don't mind me asking?

biggest mistake, selling mine.

Ive had two, insurance is cheaper than expected and expect around 25mpg realistically.
Make sure you check the boot floor and diff carrier they are the main issues with these cars.
As there are no
t that many left lots have been repair so shop carefully.

Bit late sorry.....

It 2002 went from a Westfield Megabusa to a Z3M Coupe...... Clearly not as raw, but great fun and still turns heads... If you ever get up over 100 mph the ZMC will feel quicker......

Daft, but still practical... Go for it.....
