Grille slats... just pull?

I have seen cars with the grille slats popping out. Very scruffy.

But if I were to want to pull the bottom bar out to fit my AMOC badge, is it easy to pull out and then push back in? Just a friction fit? Or will i forever bugger it up if I try..?

The other alternative it to remove panels an so on, not my style at all. I'm very much the 'stand and watch and look interested while someone else does it' type.

Having proudly showed my engine to a fellow enthusiast I then shut the bonnet only for a slat to fall out.

It pushed back and remains there now

Do you need to remove the slats at all. I've been told you do not need to and that you can fix it whilst the grill is in place.

Only glad that I bought my badge just as my DB9V was going so I have one waiting to be fitted on my V12VR when it arrives - but I am going to take the chicken way out and get Grange to fit it before I pick it up

Agreed. My db9v came with the amoc badge fitted. Made a beautiful car look molested. Took it off as soon as I could. Now my front end looks gorgeous again.

With the greatest of respect - people from Florida are ill-qualified to lecture on what is tacky and what's not

Horses for courses as ever. I couldn't live with the orange lights they force you to add to your cars! Does anyone ever fill and paint them or would it be an issue?

Correction my dear yeti: my neighborhood was literally swamp 25 years ago.

Regarding the tacky orange marker lights, we have no control over those getting added as they are federal regulation. Adding the tacky AMOC badge is voluntary, though.

Well I'll post a picture when it's done - I've offered it up and think it looks quite smart.

I saw a Vanquish with one at the concours and thought the new style looked good on new era cars - don't see them added often!

I'm surprised you're putting something on the grille that could potentially restrict airflow and therefore affect performance

5-slat DBS grille. Still plenty of airflow
