Most reliable car for a budget of £8k with a twist

Hi all,
I currently have a 2006 Audi A6 3.0tdi Quattro, only had it a few months after my swap from a 350z. Im constantly having little things go wrong like electrics and other bits and pieces and it got me thinking... what car out there has incredible reliablity but is still something decent to drive and a nice place to be?

Dont, im still upset... clocked up 30K miles in the 350 without one single problem and that included a few track days.
