odd knock at the door

had someone knock on the door this evening to ask what the sorry is with my smart roadster as he noticed it's not been used much. told him when i get round to it i well probably be selling it as i don't use it enough (20 miles poor so in a year and a half). not sure what to make of it and thinking of moving the car to the parents garage tomorrow, he seemed to lose interest when i said I'd be getting a new MOT before selling, maybe someone just looking for a bargain. knew very little about the car, didn't know all roadsters are AUTO.

I wouldn't take it as that suspicious, I walk past a house on my way to work every day that has an E46 coupe outside; apparently in reasonable condition. It hasn't moved for so long that the tyres are flat and it's covered in cobwebs and dust. Probably got a snapped timing chain or cracked block or something; but could be worth a knock to at least find out. People abandon perfectly good cars for the oddest reasons - so one could end up with a major bargain.

This is especially true, without wishing to stereotype, of a certain class of the rich and flash. Most will find any excuse to buy a new car so leave their old one sitting on their copious driveway for the sake of a new tyre or expired tax disc. I have first hand experience of this: having seen abandoned Merc MLs, X5s and the like.

I nearly put a note under the windscreen of a Supra in my underground parking garage as it had not been moved at all in four months. He's driving it again now though. Creepy?
