I know I was in my Chimaera, but its the same engine as my V8S,

Did any S's try out the runway at the BNG?

what was your top speed?

I got 135, before I, as my mate said, whimped out!

Dave_M had his V8S on the runway at Wittering earlier in the year. Conditions were nasty (wet and windy) but I vaguely recall he said he'd got up to about 130ish.

Sure he'll be along to confirm or deny.

Yup, that was my speedo reading but the crosswinds were lifting the front end. I felt she would have gone a bit quicker but the combination of the wind, standing water and having passengers meant I couldn't go quicker.

By comparison, I believe the Chims were doing 140-145, the Tans and Tuscs up to 155 and the Cerb 175. All on speedo readings (I think) and the weather varied from poor to awful during the sessionsmile

Knew you'd be along wink

Don't blame you for lifting, only thing we wanted airbourne that day were the aircraft - not TVR's yikes

Took mine down in the afternoom session to record 129 mph on the 'Roadangel' half way through oil pressure was dropping to 0 so eased up. A lot more difficult than i though getting the gear change right but fun.

That's a good speedsmile

We had a 1.7 mile straight but I've no idea what it was at Leeds.
