I think my fuel tank is reaching the end of the line - new they are expensive - and the place I know who often do renovated (from the back of their ''reclamation'' yard have no stock.
Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a tank renovated - it seems to be going around the top seam so makes itself know when the tank is full.

Try talking to Northern Radiators in Leeds. They specialise in fuel tank repairs, although if it's old and rotten you are unlikely to get it fixed as, the minute you apply a torch or solder to it, it's likely the steel will go porous. Talk to Nick White. He's a car nut and his son is the Ecclestone/Hamilton Karting Series under 14's champion. They're based in Leeds, 0113 243 5051. Good luck!

Thanks - its not that bad - just starting on a top seam - so best to be caught early.

Also been looking at Re-Nu - not cheap but a good looking service. Just its 75+% of the cost of a new tank.
