Yup. I've lost count of the number of badly driven cars I've seen sprouting personal number plates lately. Mostly women. I suggested to one recently, ( blonde, Audi TT) who after driving past 6 signs, still managed to get in the wrong lane at the M25/A12 junction, and nearly take the front of my car, that she ought to sell it, and buy some driving lessons.

Have another hehe on me.

Private plates aren't a reliable marker. Private plates with a non standard font or altered spacing are almost invariably driven by idiots.

Its more of a spectrum; the less standard the private plate, the bigger the idiot!

I would avoid in the same way as anyone with dodgy blue tinted headlamp bulbs or aftermarket LED DRL's.

Always a bad sign IME.

I hate private plates.

They are a stronger warning of "im a fking idiot and cant drive so i joined the private plate brigade" than any audi or bmw will ever be.

I reserve special hatred for old people who get a private plate.

Example in case, some tt last week driving in fog at 25mph in a NSL zone in his brand new E-Class, with his rear fog light burning through my eyeballs for a good 6 miles. .

hmmm... I often find it's the ones that let their number plates get so dirty that you can't see the letters that drive the worst and tend to be the worst offenders... (although you are about to clean it, I grant you) wink

I knew someone would post this rolleyes

I dont really deem Irish plates as 'private plates' seeing as they aren't really private, and can extended to pretty much any vehicle, and cars can be bought from new with them on.
