I know I'm not the only one here who surfs Ebay (and Autotrader, Car and Classic etc etc) for a bit of fun and hoping to find a bargain,

Here's one I just saw: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-ROLLS-ROYCE-silver-...

so what have you found recently that made you think "Hey, actually, that's pretty cheap. I wonder if..."

My brother, inman999 on here, does this all the time. And hence changes cars quite often. Although had his current one for a while now!

I did this at the start of the year. Ended up with a lovely 1997 528i SE Auto.

Was dreading it to start with, but still loving getting into it every time.

Had one of these in at work the other day. It took an eternity to start but the noise was something else! Drove like an old boat.

I like to search the classifieds a lot, I'm actively searching for my next car so I'm always on the hunt for a bargain, I just don't know what I want but I do know it has to be an estate/wagon this time.

I love old cheap Rollers but the fact it needs welding scares me! You just know it will be hiding a plethora of grot underneath, especially when you remove the sill covers. Saying that though, it is a three grand Rolls Royce. If only I was good with a welder!

Chrysler? in the background? Want one of those for a local car!
Yep, if your interested that one is coming up for sale.

Rebuilt from ground up, 2.0 red top, free flow sports exhaust and custom interior.

Done maybe 1000 miles since rebuild.

Good work james - a nice collection of purchases (and a good idea to include the pics).

Diddles - that is scary. I hadn't bothered to check the MoT fail list and the seller's description makes light of some fairly serious probs but even still...

This early Merc R129 SL is local to me. £1400 with 3 days to go.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140854500770

Seller is an "independent Mercedes garage of some repute", so why have they chosen to sell it in tatty condition, rather than fixing it up and selling for a better price?
