What is in your glove box?

Hello,

I don't have a glovebox in my Elise. Recently I had it serviced and had to remember to get the service book out of a cupboard and leave it on the seat. It's the first time I've missed having a glovebox in that car.

My other car spent quite a bit of time stripped out and had no glove box either. I didn't really miss it. Earlier this year I demilitarised it and put the glove box back in, but it seemed to be instantly full of ice scrapers, receipts, cable ties and random other junk so now I couldn't use it even if I wanted to.

So what's in your glove box?

And if, as I suspect, the most common thing isn't gloves then surely it's time to rename it the slightly-fluffy-sweets-that-I'm-too-disgusted-to-eat-and-can't-throw-away-because-they're-too-sticky-box, or something.

In my MX5 glovebox I have, service history, two 'honka honka' horns, a small rubber pig, two pens, ipod cable, another small rubber pig and sunglasses.

My Elise has a little cubby in the battery cover in the boot where the manual and service record are supposed to live. I don't use it though.

Just the factory fitted bmw torch, it's totally empty. I'm anal with my car interior, it's usually spotless. All I have in the boot is a blanket, an engine oil top up bottle and that's it. Interior never has any rubbish in it either

A little toggle switch that doesn't seem to do anything. Suspect it's part of some sort of fuel cut-off, but not figured it out yet

My S2000 has two glove boxes. One has Satnav & OBD2 reader, the other CD's, pen, sun glasses.

Currently a RaspberryPi board and power supplies to run it as a incar pc

My car has this, though it is a great fit for the 1L top up bottle.

I don't keep the service history with the car in case it gets stolen or something, perhaps a bit daft but hey ho.

A CD changer (broken), two sachets of Heinz tomato ketchup and a paint touch-up pen.

In my glove box I have, an ice scraper, service book, and handbook for the car, a maglite torch, a note pad, couple of pens, digital tyre pressure gauge and that's about it.

I don't have a glovebox either. The problem with the service book is, I've not found a home for it in 2.5 years and goes from the spare bed to the garage and back onto the bed for next year.
