Control module plugs - Where to buy?
Discussion
Hello All,
So, after replying to Johonno's thread about flickering headlamps my car decided to join in. Following my own advice to Jhonno to check his module box connectors, it was only a matter of hours later when - in the last 3 miles of a 150 mile non-stop trip - I could smell melting plastic. Satisfying myself that nothing was actually on fire I put it down to a rouge cable tie touching the exhaust. Last night my own headlamps began to flicker, and on further testing this evening I discovered that there had been a minor thermal event in the connector to the dim/dip module on the R/H side of the boot.
There's clear evidence that this is the problem and I need to replace the connector, and possibly the module too as they are currently welded together. Now, I can source the modules from TVR Power or Racing Green but neither website seems to list the male part of the connector that is attached to the loom.
Does anyone know if these are avilable, and if so, where?
Regards,
Olly

Maplins/ RS/ anywhere electrical can supply you with much much better and more heavy duty connectors. I can't remember the exact type, but they looked something like the 'neptune' multi-plugs from memory; http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/www.simtekuk.co.uk/info....
