Starting with unprogrammed key

Just been reading about BMW's and their susceptibility to theft. Aparently simply done with a key reprogrammer. Are they the only ones susceptible to such activites I wonder, for example my Focus? http://www.keyprogtools.com/index.php/ford-nissan-... . "You can start your car or add new keys in few seconds" it says.
