I really like these. Do they sell them in manual?

Will they depreciate and be unreliable?

Not available in manual.

Probably will depreciate but this depends on how long you keep it aswell as a whole load of other factors.

If your put the same ammount of effort in to your car servicing as your post above then yes it will be unreliable.

Thread running on the Maser forum at the mo'. I drove a 4.7S MC shift on Saturday, liked it a lot moe than I thought I would. Talking to owners, build quality is a big step up from the Gransport, residuals aren't too bad, and servicing can be up to every two years depending on mileage.
Drove it Saturday, noise is till in my ears.Really like it, now the only 4 seater coupe I'd consider having driven them all.

from what i've read Maserati are like a Ferrari without the massive expense, just quite a big expense rofl

from what owners have told me if you pick a stinker

it could be equivalent of getting a new toilet fitted, emptying your bank account and spending all day flushing notes down the bog

If you pick any 100 grand car second hand thats a stinker, it will be ruinous.
Reliability appears to be leagues ahead of the 3200/4200 era, let alone the Biturbo days.

I have never yet heard of a Maserati with "sensible running costs".

See also Ferrari, Lamborghini.

Nope, the GS is preferred over the GT and many GT owners have sought out the GS as as a faster 4 seater. As for build quality -that is pure speculation.

Cheers

Are you suggesting that people have bought the Granturismo 4.7S and sold it to get a Gransport for anything other than financial reasons? Having driven several 4200's and GS's,they're not in the same league for me.As for speculation on build quality, it's not, looking at the consensus on Maser related forums, including PH.
I can only assume, you have a Gransport, and quite rightly defend it, in which case, congrats.

Well the GS is a true 4 seat whereas the GTS is a 2+2. Top speed of a GS is higher (not that you can ever get there) and the 0-6 the same or slightly better. Round a track a GS might well beat a GTS... As for value for money...

Surely there's more room in a GTS as it's chassis is based on a QP which is a true four seater?

Think its a result of the engine being moved further back...

Do you buy a car as sexy as this to worry about running costs? If you get to the point when you can't afford to run it polish her up and put her somewhere just to look at! It's cheaper and nicer than a load of the modern art/tat I've seen for sale!
