Smashed V8V wing mirror

Some lowlife felt it necessary to vent their anger on my driver's side mirror last night...The joys of living in Soho I suppose!

The unit doesn't look in very bad conditions so I'm hoping I can fix it myself. Does anyone have a haynes manual kind of guide for wing mirrors?

All the electric motors work properly, the base is intact, but the mirror itself and the lower casing seem to have shifted out of position and are now badly aligned (I can't get the mirror to tilt enough towards the car).

Any help's appreciated!

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that somebody damaged your car

Unfortunately I don't know a great deal about the mirrors specifically. What year is your car? Only the newer ones have bigger mirrors to comply with new regs.

2006, smaller mirrors I think. I'll try to take the mirror apart and see if I can bring it back to life...got nothing to lose after all!

Just in case you didn't know there a Volvo part so it maybe cheaper to contact them if you need parts.

Look underneath the mirror there are various numbers etc.

i have a couple of spare wing mirrors with no glass from my db9...if that helps...
