Zipp 303

I need help identifying which year Zipp a chap is selling;

They have red logo's, bladed aero spokes and the rim width below the track is 32mm and dimpled. The hubs are 'uprated' to the 'newer type'. Going to look at them so any ammo would be useful.

Remember that Zipp wheels have only taken on the teardrop shape in the past two years so unless the wheels are recent I can't see the rim hitting 32mm at its widest. I may be wrong, but is seems a bit too wide for these wheels.

Unless you mean 32 mm deep, if so they are definitely not 303s but they are probably 202s. 202s are 32 mm deep carbon rims. If so and you can get them cheap then crack on, a great set of wheels. best of luck.

My Zipp 303's are 45mm deep and 27mm wide

Maybe he's just read some of the documentation on the 303's wrong and made an error in the advert. I notice they do say the 303's can take a 23 - 32mm wide tyre.

Are they clinchers or tubs?

As per my last message, i assume he meant 202s which are 32 mm deep.

Thanks for the info guys, have backed out of the deal as they appear to be 2007's and have had a few owners. Not worth the risk even though they were a decent price. Guess I will be saving for a set of Enve's after all!
