Le Mans 24h circuit food?

I just got back from Le Mans for the Moto 24h, and during the weekend I decided to have food at the circuit rather than camping food. I went to the car 24h in 2009, and remembered there was loads of inviting bespoke food options from the stalls across from the pits behind the stand there.
At this event, all they had was 4 options, all rather rubbish (a BBQ stall selling nothing that had been BBQ'ed, a sausage in a baguette with chips, pre cooked croque-monsieur that looked like they had been sitting there for hours) that were all duplicated around the circuit.

It was all pretty dire. Was the offerings at the 24 hour this year like what I remembered from 3 years ago, or has it gone downhill and the same sort of thing I found last weekend?

I've been every year since '98 and its always been about merguez and frites.

When i went for the Classic in '10, I survived on a feast of French sticks and Rillettes du Mans that was layered across the top of them. Refrained from doing as the locals do and dipping their baguettes in their coffee...

Its all very expensive rubbish! If i'm desperate for some easy food and feeling lazy, its usually a trip to McDonalds! The McDonalds abroad are much nicer than in this country!

But no - this was a baguette with rillettes du mans from the ACO Espace Privilege. 'Posh' food poisoning.

No, wasn't ill! Well not until I got home, with a dodgy stomach/bowels thanks to some quiche I had at the French services on the way back to Calias. No one bought a BBQ, although we had 2 cars along with the bikes, but they did bring a fridge... So I ended up eating ham and cheese rolls I made, and rillettes from the supermarket, to keep it safe.

I was trying to upload a photo of a stall from 2009, which looks like an omelet in a massive wok, but it keeps on failing! I thought I saw a few like that, but I did drink a bit that weekend!

Tartiflete - seems to have disappeared there now. for the 24 they seem to have upped the ante a bit in the food stakes - sushi (although I don't reckon I saw that this year and various better looking BBQ options. To be fair though, we camp away from the circuit - tend to do our own thing for the week, usually with a few dinners in Arnage/Mulsanne and the Mergeuez & Frites on Saturday evening for tradition!
