This may sound quite adventerous or just plain silly , but do you think it would be possible to raise some sponsership for next years race, i have all the application forms, do you thik it would generate much interest? General thoughts would be appreciated, I have a couple friends who have done the race ,however when i asked them how much they spent, neither could tell me because they didnt bother counting,(wasnt the answer i was looking for)

What ever you budget...you might need extra for fines incurred on route.

You want sponsoring for the holiday of a lifetime?

I think you'd only get sponsorship for covering your car in someone's logo... not much in the way of private sponsorship. Perhaps getting hold of a couple of Lax Power type mags and giving a few of the advertisers a call might be a good way to gauge interest?

I know someone who did it this year in a Maserati Ghibli. He reckoned it cost the team £25K all inclusive.

25k for a week,,bloody hell, mind you id be willing to cover every inch of the car in stickers ,im not bothered about the paintwork ,my friend is a sprayer,
I think the hardest thing to gauge is that there are a lot of hidden costs which if your a multi millionaire is not an issue, but im not (yet),
Someone must have done it an not spent anymoney themselves,

Didn't the Tuscan that did it break down near the end (only a puncture?) and they had to rent out a Merc to finish it? Or am I imagining that???

Im not sure tbh, i mean its a big ask for any car, as we know the higher the performance the more likely a failure of somekind,,
Im determined to do this without spending any of my own cash

Or you could do one of the trips like Eurohoon for £1-2k. If I'd got the frickin money back out of the guy I bought the car from for it not originally being RR spec I wouldn't have had to drop out of that.

Don't think I'd go on a highly publicised one:
1. You'll get stung for waaaaaay more fines
2. Laws are changing so you can lose your licence

Il tell you what realy appeals its the amount of circuts the ralliers(not racers hmm ) get to drive around in various countries that realy appeals,
The gumball is very well organised though espec ,hotels an parties and checkpoints ,and i like the idea of kicking ass with all the sluggish ferraris

Circuits aside, pretty much all of the organised Euro-jaunts have decent hotels, etc. sorted, and EVERYONE'll be up for partying. I was seriously looking forward to giving rods's new 360CS a dusting on Eurohoon, but it's not to be this year.

It's the PistonHeads arranged one, with plenty of the regulars off PH

www.eurohoon.co.uk/

I think it might be booked up, though - there was only one spot left a week or two ago (the site is out of date a bit, as half the owners have changed cars!). There's a forum for it on PH, too.

And I don't think Rods'd be too upset if you won the odd blat - it's all in good fun, and the 360CS is to replace his T350T.

Yikes, 25K for a week?

I think you'd need more money than sense for this one....

I'd stick to driving to the autobahns in germany in convoy to do some really high speed (legal) safe driving....

if anyones got that planned, then I'll be up for that...

They don't get to drive properly at the circuits though - it is all parade laps

You want to do the RMA 3000

www.rma-limited.co.uk/rma3000.php

4k for a team of 2 and 4 proper trackdays accross europe in a week
