So what are the best uk guitar forums (or non-Uk for that matter)?

Can't seem to find a good one.Ideally one that's not full of teenagers shredding.

There are others that fall comfortably into the type you wish to avoid.

Future Music runs http://www.musicradar.com/forum/index.php It's been around a long time and has many good contributors (almost entirely UK). Plus a Classified section to get you into trouble with your Other Half.

The Gear Page (mainly US) at http://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php? is perfect if you're a lawyer or doctor with a custom-made PRS to show off.

I like TDPRI. Every time someone buys a new guitar & shows it off, it's like a street party in there, complete with jelly, ice cream, sparklers & bunting.

Just look for any thread with NGD in the title.

A lot of the suggestions so far cater to the notably conservative musical tastes of PH. I wish there was a more progressive forum for UK guitarists, such as Basschat but for guitarists instead, unfortunately there does not seem to be much out there.

There will be soon. The basschat admin team are currently putting a sister site for guitarists (and possibly another for drummers too). I'm not sure when it will be up and running (I keep meaning to ask) but it will be good when it comes as Basschat is great.

Hi Everyone just thought I would send out a hello. I've been playing since I was a toddler. Just been to see Jeff Beck in Oxford a couple of weeks ago and off to see Larry Carlton 12th July in Bristol can't wait. My pockets are now empty but my heart happy!
