Car park hit and runs

I've had my Focus ST for two weeks now. In that time somebody has reversed into the front of it and dinged the front bumper with what I assume was a towing eye, and now somebody has put a lovely crack in the rear bumper. Both times it happened in my local Tesco car park and both times the fkers just drove off. Contrast that with today where I walked out of Waitrose to find a lady standing next to my car writing a note to put under my windscreen wiper with her contact information on it, apologising for the very small scuff on the bump-strip on my driver's side door that she thought she 'may' have done when her kid opened her passenger door. That scuff is hardly noticeable and was actually there before so I told her it was okay and thanked her.
I've always thought the people on here that say Tesco and Asda are a mecca for chavs were snobs, but from now on I'm going to avoid them like the plague.
As for the tossers that happily damage your property and then fk off, I would happily break their fking legs with a tyre iron. wkers.

Not a bad rant - maybe park right down the other end of Tesco's car park? I've taken to that everywhere now, even though my car has a myriad of dents and scratches, I don't fancy any more!

VERY rarely drive to a supermarket, but when I do, I always park miles away from everyone else - Why risk it? People are stupid and lazy, and often spend LONGER looking for a space closer to the supermarket, than the extra time spent walking to and from the shop from the space further away - As a rule, the general public are idiots.

I now have another reason to not park near them - No parking damage, thanks for the reminder

Shop online to avoid this! They will find you no matter where you try and park especially if you have a nice looking automobile.

I do park well away from the doors in a quiet part of the car park - makes no difference because I often come back out to find people parked around me.

Have children and then use the parking spaces for families. They are almost a 1/3 as big again, never had any issues since we have been using them.

I even hang around a few minutes to make sure we get one, save any "dings".

Our Galaxy has picked a few up, amazing how people are so blase about damaging someone elses property.

We had an old boy in a Jag whack it when reversing out, someone saw it as he got out, looked, then scuttled off, she kindly got his reg so we went through the insurance, he denied it categorically despite being seen, he is local and I have seen his car many times (private reg so easy to spot), I could have taken expensive revenge but that doesnt benefit anyone, the insurance kindly put up our premium as it was a claim even though we didnt claim.

One of the kids mates dropped his BMX down it despite being told to not wheel it past the car several times, pisses me right off.

If I catch anyone doing it in future I will someway get recompense or exact my revenge !

Someone in the work car park put a nice scuff on my bumper the day after I put the car up for sale.

I find you can park miles away from the nearest vehicle but when you come out of the supermarket it's like a magnet and you'll be surrounded.

I tend to try and shop on-line now, or go at non peak hours to avoid busy car parks

I've posted this before, but it still amuses me. I was sitting in my car in Tesco's (what else?) when a middle aged woman reversed her Audi - hard - into my car. I got out, but she started to drive away, shaking her head at me - obviously not planning to stop.

What was amusing was that in the unequal battle between her Audi and my Volvo 740 there was a clear winner, and it wasn't the Audi!

Large dent on her car, slight scuffing on the front crash beam bumper of mine.

Not in a car park but in London one night when I was driving a Chrysler Voyager. Stopped at a red light and 5 seconds later an Italian registered Fiat drove into the back of me at about 10 or 15 mph(?):

My bumper was a bit scuffed, poor Italian guy was still picking bits of his Fiat up off the road when I drove away...

When I had my Clio a man drove up the back of me in a combo van. No damage at all to the Clio. About a year later in very icy conditions a car reversed into the front of the Clio. No damage again. In both cases the other car came off a lot worse.

A mate of mine crashed his mk1 Punto into the back of a (at the time) brand new Alfa. His wings, bonnet were bent in so far it cracked his radiator (quite an impact you'd think) the brand new Alfa had no evidence that a collision had occured. No scuff, mark, nothing!

My 16v Golf mk2 was hit two times,both times had all headlights ,grille and bonnet changed,i would hate to think how pissed i would be if this happened if i owned an expensive car.

A mate of mine had a CRX del sol Turbo with something whacky like 260whp (he is a member on here). He had just had it resprayed and a CF bonnet, spent thousands on the thing and did all the work himself. Parked on base over the weekend and someone drove into it with such force that it pushed his car about 4ft across the parking space. No note, just out of CCTV sight and markings eerily consistant with overhangs of the defenders used by the guard force.

We reckon it was a guard patrol doing the rounds and not concentrating, rammed his car and didnt bother to stop, leave a note, report the incident.

So much for the armed forces being a brotherhood etc. Scumbags!

When you have the number plate and there's obvious evidence that a collision between two specific cars occurred (matching dents, paint marks etc.), why let someone like this just drive off without further repercussions? Wouldn't this come under leaving the scene of an accident if they didn't report it within 24 hours? Probably wouldn't come to anything, but if they were contacted by police etc. then it might make them think twice in future if only to avoid the hassle.
