well the reserve in the auction is effectively 2k. Much as I'd love them to sell for less for purely selfish reasons, there is 1.5k of tyres (when new) on there. If you said the tyres, though only to the right buyer, are now worth as a bare minimum £200 each (though I'd say in reality 250 each) that totals £800 which leaves £1,200, or £300 each, for the alloy wheels, which is pretty cheap

biggest downside, IMO, is collection, depending on where you live. They wouldn't be cheap to post I imagine

Speaking as an auctioneer, IMO this is one of those lots that is worth next to nothing to a non V12V owner but as I've never ever seen them come up second hand, is probably worth an unusually high percentage of the new price to the right buyer that wants them but hasn't wanted to stump up the new price, because it's possibly a unique opportunity

£3400 I believe for wheels and tyres new.

That's astonishing. Based on 1,500 for the tyres, that's 'only' £1,900 for the wheels. I assumed that was a good deal you got at 3.4k, rather than the regualr price
