Dare I say it I recently went on the Cerbera Forum and there wasa thread " Highmilers"

Are there any high miler Tuscans out there ?

What is classed as a high miler?

And at what price do the prices start dropping drastically on them in regards of high mileage

Don't think the price does drop drastically with mileage. I'd put a depreciation figure of about £1k per 10,000 miles on the car, assuming it's got over the first year/18 months of depreciation all ready.

I've seen two at over 40k miles, but I'm sure there are plenty out there that've done more and, fingers crossed, I'll be putting many, many miles on mine.

A large proportion of 2nd hand Tusc buyers will prefer an early model which has had a re-build to one that hasn't. Later models who's to say. Mine has 13000mls on the clock and the engine (touch wood )is fine but I know the history. I am running at just under 1000mls a month, every day use, short journeys with occasional mental runs. Although in the minority, I still believe the car should be used regularly and not just for weekend hooning with nothing in between.IMHO

I know of one that has over 40,000 on - and no rebuild! Mine's done 19,000 miles now and is running perfectly.

Don't think high miles should equal massive depreciation, you're more likely to be looking at a well maintained and run car. And even 40,000 is not exactly 'high' mileage - its still only 10,000 miles per year on a 4 year old car.

If I were working freelance and hadn't succumbed to the dark forces of financial institutions (for this year at least), I'd happily bill someone an extra 15 mins or so for it! Ah well, I've done over 6 months here, which is getting towards my usual starting-to-browse-jobserve phase. Oooh, and the market's picking up...

Yeah, that is a bit pricy. Still advertising at that, he'll expect to get £25000-25500, which is, erm... err... still far too high. OK - he's dreaming.

I sold my 2000x RR with 30k miles to another PH member, I'll let him decide if he wants to say how much he paid.

Needless to say, it wasn't anywhere near £41k or even £31k come to think of it.

Whoops, that'll teach me not to read and reply whilst on the phone.

Still, the car is overpriced IMHO.

Where do you get the value from a Tuscan from ?

As they aren't in Parkers..

I think at the end of the day you put it up for what you feel it is worth then adjust the price according to response.

Mines a 2001 X but the price varies considerably from about £23K to £31K obviously the dearer being dealers
who like a big wedge off the top. :O)

Here's the one I mentioned in another post I started (very long barge-pole required):

...no mileage mentioned though, on it's 5th owner and not it's original colour.

To be fair this will be a independant dealer. They will have read the V5, and usually that's what it's down as (mine is). But then, that's another good reason not to touch it imho :-)

I spoke to the dealer about this one when I was looking about 3 months ago. It has done about 34K with no engine rebuild and the dealer was asking for £25K at the time. I gather they are still trying to sell it!

It also is a cat D insurance claim and has no paperwork or history what so ever. DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?
