Driver threatened to hit me this morning

So I guess this is some kind of rant or confessional?!

Slowed down and stopped at a small roundabout in the Berkshire countryside, to give way, on my trip into work this morning.

A minibus full of school children came sharply from behind and then stopped in front of me blocking both lanes on approach to the roundabout.

Even before the vehicle had stopped rocking on its suspension, the driver's door flew open and rushed out towards me a fat elderly gentleman.

I wound down my window, eager to hear what his enraged demeanour could clearly no longer keep in.

He said I had cut him up twice this week on an earlier roundabout and would hit me if I did it again.

I was tempted to ask him if I could hire his belly as a bouncy castle for the kids at the weekend but decided not to.

Instead, I informed this rotund driver of a minibus, that I most certainly did not cut him up and on the contrary maintained perfect lane discipline on navigating said junction - he chose the left-hand lane to go straight ahead and I the right-hand lane.

He was very irate and clearly had no qualms about obstructing all other motorists on the morning commute.

End of story really.

I believe the PH consensus will be report him.

He is in charge of a minibus full of other peoples children and this is not the

behaviour of someone in a responsible position.

Once I was driving down a narrow section of road and a Renault was coming the other way. It's driver then stopped, exited said Renault and shouted at me for being in his way.

I then asked him what he thought that sign he drove past 50 yards earlier meant.

It looked like this;

He's driving a minibus full of kids, presumably on the school run.

He's blocking the road, out the vehicle, shouting angrily.

He's never going to win that one - ring it in. (unless it was a signwritten schools bus, in which case ring it into the school. It will not go down well)

Had one last week, driving along a major road in Cardiff in a bus lane doing about 20/25mph. Gigantic japanese pickup truck pulls halfway out on the bus lane to wait to pull out into general traffic forcing me to slam the anchors on, naturally I beeped my horn.

He was so enraged at this that at the next opportunity he swerved into the bus lane infront of me, slammed his brakes on (leaving skidmarks and lots of tyre smoke) and father & son both came out hammering on the doors/cab window for me to come out and fight them. Sadly the company records video & audio so I had no choice but to ignore them - would have LOVED to given them a few choice words!

Exactly this,surely not fit enough to be entrusted with carrying children in a minibus.Very bad example to set as well.Was it a school or a council bus?

Unless turning left or right where the lane is prescribed in the code it just says to use the most appropriate lane. I can't help feeling that if there is a car in the left hand lane which isn't indicating left the appropriate action is to wait behind it in the left lane. Otherwise you are putting both vehicles in a situation where one or the other is going to have to give way at the exit which isn't desirable. That's assuming the "straight over" exit isn't dual carriageway.

That said the guys reaction was stupid.

If the roundabout exit was a single lane, I would have said left hand lane for straight ahead or left, right hand lane for right turns.

Although I have been known to pass a slower vehicle using the right hand lane but only when I am pretty sure I'll get round without causing them to slow.

But what about if the option was to turn left or straight ahead, no other options. Right hand lane? I ask because i'm pretty sure it is, but not 1 person in Bicester (Oxfordshire) seems to realise the fact, and I end up cutting them up when theyre not turning left.
