Nice easy saturday project, changing the oil and filter on my mothers 3.0 Nissan Terrano.
Oil done and draining I tackle the filter
Thinking ahead I wedged a few rags below the filter to catch the inevitable oil waterfall.
I undo and unscrew the housing and the oil all falls into a little plastic tray under the housing, (above the rags) down a little pipe and straight to the driveway.

Handy for next time I guess, anybody recommend me some driveway cleaner.

Oliver.

It'll probably tell you all this in the handbook under "changing the oil filter".

What is this 'handbook' you speak of?

Never, ever, to be found in a used car forecourt. What do they do with them all? And the spare keys?

Turn the books into papier mache for body repairs, flush the keys down the toilet.
