Hi all
I was wondering if anyone could throw some light on a recent problem I am experiencing. After a few miles of driving ( when the car has warmed up) there is an odd creaking from underneath the car. At first I thought it may be a suspension/bushes/damper thing but the noise ( sometimes) continues when the car is stationary.
It doesn't affect the way the car handles and only starts to happen after 4 or 5 miles driving.

Thanks,Matt

Heat expansion/contraction maybe?

Could it be your engines exhaust touching the chassis if the engine mounts are passed their best?
Check both exhaust manifolds are well clear of the chassis rails when the engine is warm.
Just a thought.
Paul.

I had this on my old Chim. I waxoyled the whole chassis and the creak went away. I think it was probably one or more of the rear bushes. On my Tuscan it was the chassis brace catching on the exhaust.
