It's that time again, where we have a discussion along the lines of.

PHer 1: Buy cheap buy twice
PHer 2: No no, these are great
PHer 3: Worth a punt to see what they're like
etc etc

Tool kit might be worth a look depending on the price, as I already have a lot of the contents, just need a HT BB tool and some new cone spanners.

The shoes look interesting for the winter commute... I may have chosen the wrong time of year to try going car-less!

Base layer, tool kit, jersey and gloves look alright.

Their best rated kit is usually the socks and Work stand, neither of which seem to be on offer.

Those waterproof trousers look like a horror, who needs rain when you can drench yourself in your own sweat.

The LED torches they did last time around were great - on a par with DX ones, except a bit shorter as they use AAs rather than 18650s

Newbie question but what kind of pedals would those shoes fit? I'm still using toe clips and was thinking about upgrading to clipless and shoes but the price puts me off a bit. If I got them, would I just need to buy a set of pedals and be good to go? Or are there specific types of cleat?

Cleats come with the pedals. So you just need to buy the pedals that work with the shoe. There are basically 2 types, mtb or road.

Pedals are £20ish so easy enough to get them to match your shoes.

That tool kit looks like an excellent buy. I've had Aldi tool bits before and found them as good as anything else in the Draper/Makita type of range.

Might get myself another long sleeve compression top, and might get a work stand too. If only they were selling bike brackets, I need some for the wall.

Can I ask though, what is the compression clothing for and does it benefit you in any way?

lol thought that was what my diet was for, apart from making me a little lighter
