Never tried it but saw it in Tesco for £2 a bottle and it started me thinking. Is it any good? Does anyone on here use it/ swear by it/ tried it but it's a waste of money?
It's been around forever which makes me think it must be moderately popular, so, possibly, it might actually work. But then, I think my car always feels like it goes better when I've washed it or topped the oil up, it's so subjective.
Any experience? knowledge?

k knows if it made a difference or not.Some will say its bad,Some will say its good. If you wish to pretend your James bond and have a smoke screen go for it.
I think it takes away the built up carbon from your intake and engine but....on a older higher mileage car it may throw up scores and marks that the carbon has been covering.( prob a total made up myth by my dad tbh).

About 20 years ago we slugged a bottle into a mates car without telling him so he'd get a smoke screen out the back when he next used it.
A few weeks later he told us that his engine had blown and a local garage had sold him a recon.
He only found out he'd been ripped off by the garage and screwed over by us during his Best Man's speech a few years ago.

lolback in about 84 I had an Opel Kaddet which we did same thing to in Croydon high street when you could drive down it

My father (and I) were both great believers in Redex - I still have a bottle somewhere. As you may gather I don't use much these days except for winter storage of the mower and i have some doubts of its cost effectiveness on modern fuel injection engines.
Some time in the fifties father was persuaded to have a Redex 'clearout' on his pre-war Alvis and some bloke at a roadside garage drilled and tapped the inlet manifold whereupon a can of the stuff was sucked up by the engine - and discharged in a thick fog along the A27 (the flat bit between Goodwood and Fontwell) which would probably result in accidents and prosecution today.
The previous comparison to a WW2 destroyer probably isn't so wide of the mark!
