Temp gauge or sender???

According to the temp gauge my grif is running colder by the month. Noticed recently it is now down to 55% on a run. The temp the fans kick in has also dropped, coming in at 65%. I don't think I have an engine problem but is it likely to be gauge or sender at fault?
had a few but question seems to make sense!

Had something similar on mine and it turned out to be a corroded connector on the sender unit which was behind the dizzy.
