It will never happen to me!

Watch out chaps!
I have just had my beloved M3 stolen from my drive. I was woken by a noise outside, went to the bedroom window and saw 3 guys by my car.
I shouted down to them and then threw on some jeans and dashed downstairs. No more than 15 seconds later as I unlocked the front door my car was speeding off the drive. I set off behind in my girlfriends car but didn't really know which way to go.
The police have just left. For a while they had an Armed Response Vehicle behind my car but unfortunately they lost it. I was told the helicopter was also up at the time but I do not know for sure if it was involved.
Not looking forward to the hassles and expense that lies ahead.

Sorry to hear and hope everything is ok very soon :-)
My neighbour had his E93 M3 stolen recently but the BMW Dealer now put everything as new and now safely returned. I know he uses a steering lock now as an extra precaution. Is your M3 a E90/E92/E93 ?
There should be a recall by BMW out soon ?

Makes me wonder how there's an X5 / X6 version already, but another 8 weeks for the rest of the range.
You can do a LOT of programming / testing in 8 weeks.

Mine was stolen last night. Recovered this morning (unfortunately... no idea what they've done to my P&J). Was a 56 E60 M5. So if you call BMW and they tell you cars registered prior to 07 are not susceptible, tell them to p
s off and fix your car.
No glass where is was, and the police say the drivers window was smashed. Maybe smashed into the car?
How bloody annoying.
