Early Griff Scuttle mesh Removal.

Has anybody removed the mesh panel over the scuttle area at the base of the windshield? If so can anybody tell me if there are any horrors associated with the removal, as I want to repaint mine? It looks like a pop rivet each side & then the wiper spindle nuts but that is surely too easy !!!!!!

there are about 20 rivets all along the edge on mine

^^^^^^^ as he says, looked at taking mine off a few week ago whilst I had the bonnet off and doing the rad...... changed my mind.... think I'll be spending a lot of time masking and spraying over winter...... all good intentions of doing areas under the bonnet whilst rad out, but never happened.. gave a good wash down though and degrease.
