Clutch/SlaveCyl/DMF Aaaaaargh!

Just getting into Hull last night, car starts making a whining noise, clutch pedal drops to the floor shortly afterwards, stuck in 2nd gear.
Clutch reservoir very low.
Looks like I`m in for a new slave cylinder and clutch and almost certainly the dreaded DMF.
Sodding diesels! (S60 D5)
KNEW I should have bought a nice petrol W123/W124 instead.
Live and learn.
This is after replacing the intercooler, most of the turbo hoses, all the brakes, the airbox, the droplinks, top engine mount, EGR clean etc. etc. etc.
As an alternative I could have just sat in front of the fire throwing £20 notes on!
