Starting problems

Over the last week my 94 4.0 Chim has experienced problems in starting, in that after the fuel pump has "come in" turning the key results in a "click".
I then try again and it starts - however this am it took several attempts before firing into life - is this a starter motor problem or something else ?

Sounds like either a loose connection between the battery and starter motor (solenoid) or the starter motor beginning to pack up. If the latter, it will need reconditioning. Not ultra expensive and probably best to get it done before it lets you down completey.

I agree, could be a loose earth strap somewhere
