ok, So I'm the idiot but diesel petrol etc. RAC superb!!

Right today im my sleepy haze I put £30 of petrol in my e90 330d I had no idea i did, and no idea why, I haven't driven a petrol for a few years now! I then break down obviously and have no idea why! cue getting angry with the car and calling the RAC.
but my main point is, They came out within 1/2 hour and could tell quite quickly, called his mate down, who arrived in another hour drained the tank, did a couple of spells or something and put in 10 litres of real diesel and it worked like a dream, car started and drove home the 50 miles beautifully.
And tbh I was very happy to pay only £220, Thanks RAC guys. stupid me.

the worst thing to do when this happens by the way, is google it while you are waiting at the road side, everything google comes up with tells you your car is cattle trucked and you need £7000 worth of repairs, I was nearly exploding!
