Do all Daimler Super V8's have CATS suspension? what is it?
Discussion
CATS suspension uses normal coil springs and has the same design as the usual X308 suspension. The difference is in the shock absorbers which have an internal valve under the control of a computer that gives different damping rates depending on how the car is being driven. The idea is to offer the softer damping rates needed for maximum ride comfort and the firmer rates needed for better handling in one car.
I believe - but don't know for sure - all Super V8s had CATS as standard.
I do know replacement CATS shocks are over £200 each
