Can anyone tell me where there's a good independent to service/maintain my Chimera in SouthEast London (Lambeth/Croydon)? Also any info on what the donors where for the following would be appreciated: Wiper Motor, Temp Gauge Sender?

you're gonna have problems on the wiper motor front, seems it's a bit of a special / tvr bought lots of obsolete items / delete as required. my local lucas dealer doesn't list the motor at all, and I've used up my stock of s/hand units to rebuild motors on the cheap. looks like you can only buy through tvr dealers now .. the problem is the large sweep of the wipers, needing a large crownwheel in the nmotor gearbox, it's something like a 130 degree sweep which isn't common as you can imagine, and the larger crownwheel needs a longer spindle on the end of the motor commutator bit, so no chance of swapping off another smaller motor. bugger. you can get motors rewound if it's burnt out, and many problems are down to the park switch which is 10-15 pounds from what i recall.

Joolz... who's looked into this already ..!

Also, a regular dosing with RainX / RainWizard saves on most wiper usage.

Doh! Not really the answer I was looking for, but thanks anyway. It's not off a Range Rover then like most things under the bonnet! I had problems with the park switch last year which I (errr, ok my dad) fixed. It had just seized and a bit of playing around and WD40 got it going again, but now they just don't work at all. Could it still be the park switch? I've volt metered the plug to it and everything seems on order, so fairly sure it's not a relay/fuse/connection problem.

On the temp sender side. Is yours behind the distributor and do you have an unused one on the top of the block? If you do you can use that, i have. Its a different connector but i have a spare to do it.
